Imagine living in a place where crocodiles outnumber humans; where you’re hours from the coast, but the sea is your front yard (an inland sea, that is); where flocks of birds can number into the tens of thousands; and where each day’s sunset has the potential to be the best you’ve ever seen.
When Greg began operating in 1999, he knew he’d never tire of showing this incredible part of the world to others. Two decades (and thousands of guests later) Lake Argyle Cruises remains the number one choice for exploring this magnificent part of the Kimberley.
Our fleet of purpose-built cruise vessels offer comfortable seating and unobstructed views, immersing you into the breathtaking landscape that the Eastern Kimberley is renowned for. Boardshorts and a singlet/shirt for guys and swimwear for ladies, as you may fall in and get wet! You should bring a dry change of clothes to get into afterwards and a towel. Don’t forget your hat, sunscreen and camera! Warm clothing may be required from June to August.
“An amazing day kayaking on the lake, all for a price that a backpacker can afford! Thanks guys!”
“We did not do a sunset cruise but we enjoyed the lake by hiring kayaks for half day $25 pp. fantastic value and especially for croc spotting.
Comfy seats and a map to guide you. We spent 3.5 hours out. It’s just beautiful out on the water without noise or people …. no wonder we saw so many crocs!
We realise the cruise is supposed to be fab but the sunset cruises are a huge part of the Kimberly and NT experience so we thought we would try something different!”
